the Octoraro
Reservoir on the Octoraro Creek, and the Conowingo Pool of the
Susquehanna River. Both of these sources are in the Susquehanna
River Basin.
In 2004, 86 percent
of the water we treated was from the Octoraro Reservoir, and 14
percent was from the Conowingo Pool of the Susquehanna River. The
Susquehanna source was used primarily in January, February, and
September.
We are committed to
providing you with clean drinking water at all times, and the
upgrades at the Octoraro Treatment Plant are part of that
commitment. In the spring of 2006, we will begin several capital
improvement projects. Please see the article “Octoraro Treatment
Plant Projects” for more information.
