Water Main Rehabilitation for Year 2000 Update

Getting underway in the summer of 2000, Chester Water Authority will set in motion its annual Water Main Rehabilitation Project.  This year, the project will be located in the City of Chester, between Parker and Penn Streets from 5th to 9th Streets.

The project will include replacement of approximately one mile of pipe with ductile iron and cement-lined pipe.  The Authority will also be renewing customer water services.

The project, which will last approximately three months, will provide improved fire flows to hydrants and will improve water pressure to customers located within the project area.

Another Thought on Safety

Please report any open or loose meter box lids or curb boxes to Chester Water Authority's Customer Service Department at 610-876-8181 or 800-793-2323. They should also be reported if they are unusually high or low. Meter boxes are approximately 15 inches in diameter and curb boxes are approximately 4 inches in diameter.
