Summer 2002 Water Main Rehabilitation Project

CWA’s summer 2002 Water Main Rehabilitation Project involves the cleaning and cement lining of approximately 1.1 miles of water main, renewal of customer water services and fire hydrants, and the renewal of approximately 400 feet of water main.

This project affects two areas in Delaware County.  One part of the project will take place between 13th and 15th Streets, Upland Street, and Melrose Avenue in the City of Chester.  The other project location is on Upland Road between 11th Street and Edgmont Avenue in the boroughs of Upland, Parkside, and Brookhaven.

This rehabilitation will take roughly three months and will deliver improved fire-flows to hydrants and enhance water pressure to customers located in the project areas.

Easy Access

Just in case you did not know, the Authority has a drive-up window for our customers at the rear of our Main Office Building.  For easy drive-up access, please use the 4th Street entrance to the parking/drive-up area, as indicated by this diagram.

Water Quality Report for 2001

By now, all CWA customers should have received the Water Quality Report for calendar year 2001 with their water bill.  This report (produced in accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency regulations) provides information on how CWA operates, how we treat your water, and the results of testing we perform on your water.

If you have not already received your report or if you would like to have another copy, give our Customer Service Department a call at 610-876-8181 or 800-793-2323 and one will be mailed to you.  Or take a look at our Web site – www.chesterwater.com.  We have it posted there!
