One More Thought About Customer Safety |
 |
|
Open and loose meter box lids and raised curb boxes can be hazardous
to pedestrian traffic. Please report any open or loose meter box
lids or raised curb boxes to the Authority’s Customer Service
Department at 610- 876-8181 or 800-793-2323. You should also report
any unusually high- or low-sitting meter or curb boxes. Meter boxes
are approximately 15 inches in diameter, and curb boxes are
approximately 4 inches in diameter. |

Help Stop Illegal Use of Fire Hydrants |
|
Illegal use of
fire hydrants can make a firefighter’s job more difficult due to the
lack of water pressure. But did you know that it could also affect
water quality?
CWA personnel
and firefighters are people who normally make use of fire hydrants.
The Authority does issue permits to contractors if they need water
for a construction project. However, these permits are issued
infrequently. If you see something that looks suspicious regarding
the use of a hydrant, please call our Customer Service Department at
610-876-8181 or 800-793-2323. The department is open 24 hours a
day. |

Where Can You Pay Your Water Bill? |
|
Chester Water
Authority accepts your water bill payments in a variety of ways.
You can visit our Main Office Building at 415 Welsh Street in the
City of Chester to pay in person, or you can simply mail your
payment in the self-addressed envelope that accompanies your water
bill. If you have misplaced this envelope, the address to use is:
415 Welsh Street
• P.O. Box 467 • Chester, PA 19016
Another
payment option is to check with your bank to see if it offers “pay
by phone”.
In some
stores, you may see signs posted that read “Pay Your Water Bill
Here.” Please be aware that these stores are not
authorized by the Authority to accept payment for your water bill.
Customers use these stores at their own risk, and the Authority is
not responsible for payments that do not reach our Business Office.
Questions? Call us at
610-876-8181 or 800-793-2323 for answers. |

Attention: Teachers and Groups
|
|
CWA would like to bring to your attention a new program – TAPWater.
This program is educational and fun and is designed to help teachers
satisfy the mandatory standards issued by Pennsylvania Department of
Education. If you are interested in having this free program given
in your class, please call 610-876-8185, extension 278, for more
information.
We also have a
presentation designed for adult organizations that is interesting as
well as educational. You can call the number given above if you
would like a representative to speak at one of your functions. It’s
never too late to learn, and why not take this opportunity to be
educated about the water you use? |
