Village
Green Tank Gets a Sparkling New Look
Maintaining a
ten-million-gallon water tank is a big undertaking, but an
important one at Chester Water Authority. Each of CWA’s tanks
must be emptied, cleaned, and repainted inside and out every 15 to
20 years. Village Green’s Tank #6 was earmarked for this year,
and the $800,000 project has now been completed.
During
the process, water was drained from the tank to another set aside
for that purpose. The tank was blasted with steel grit and
repainted. Then the important disinfecting step took place.
Chester
Water Authority is all about quality people providing quality
water. We are resolved to utilize preventive maintenance to ensure
excellent service––one of our main goals.
